For my overseas readers, the MOT test is a road-worthiness test that all UK cars over three years old are required to pass.
I took mine for it's test today and got a pass slip for another 12 months. The test took place at the dealers where I bought the car, where I happened to bump into the salesman that sold me the car four years ago. Unfortunately he has rather a good memory and as I was browsing around their forecourt he was trying hard with the soft-sell to sell me another one. Despite what everybody saying about "car prices being cheap", they are still trying to maintain their big profit margins. That means they don't want to give me what I consider to be a realistic trade-in price for mine.
Run it into the ground? Maybe, maybe not...

that looks distinctly like an MG in the pic? I had a yellow MG midget when I was young and foolish and I still feel a bit teary when I see one flash by, despite the fact that it ate about half of my tiny monthly salary. Internet re-established at home, think you could be right about blame - chair breaking man perfect candidate. Did you get to east coast again? Perhaps the cloud observation bar? Its all exciting stuff here you know! Did I say - gorgeous G-daughter no 2?
It's a MGB-GT. Not mine, I'm just a co-driver. Nice to drive compared with modern cars though.
